Highlights: Positions are available for our Izmir, Usak and Denizli locations.  A Salary Package that includes accommodation and insurance is provided in Usak and may be provided in Denizli. 

Qualifications: An outgoing personality with the ability to work as a team is essential.  A teaching certificate is not required, since all teachers are provided with an intensive 1-week teacher’s training program.  The Callan Method of teaching English requires a sense of urgency, the use of miming and gesticulation, and the presentation of a clear accent with excellent pronunciation skills.  Please apply using the application process below.

Minimum Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in any field of study is preferred

Salary/Pay: Our Teachers salary is calculated on either an hourly or salary-package basis.  This varies by school and location, and will be discussed after an applicant’s application package has been assessed.  All teaching positions have a 3-month probationary period with an increase in pay provided after successfully competing the probationary period.

This Program is open to:  All Native English Speaking Individuals with a clear, precise accent.

Participants Travel to Turkey:  This varies by location and school.  Most of our positions require initial travel to turkey at your cost.  Some locations provide travel allotments in their salary package.

Deren & Koray International Tourism & Education Center's Mission Statement: The Deren & Koray International Tourism & Education Center (In short D&K International) is an international and overseas education consultancy agency based in Izmir, Turkey.  In additional to providing English as a Secondary Language Classes in Turkey, D&K International also acts as a liaison and representative of various education providers, organizations, universities and other education firms abroad.  D&K International is a family run company. The founder, Mrs. M. Deren Altan, is a retired teacher of English from Izmir Fen Lisesi (Izmir Science High School); Mrs. Altan was also one of the founders of this leading state high school in 1983.  Mr. Haluk Altan is a retired teacher of English from Vali Vecdi Gönül Lisesi in Izmir as well.  Mr. Koray Altan, the International Educational Consultant and Marketing Director is a graduate of the Aegean University.  Mr. Altan obtained his MSc Degree in Botany in 1995.
